That is the top of mind question right now for business owners. For myself, that is the question I've been asking as I fall asleep or, in this case, the first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up. We've all invested time (sometimes years), dollars and our emotions into our businesses and we're not ready to give up. With that in mind, we’re providing a Marketing Planner and Checklist for you to use in planning the re-opening of your business. We encourage you to download this planner and checklist, review it with your team, get their ideas and feedback and create a plan. Then the answer to your question will be, Yes, I'm doing everything I can.
It is likely that we will still need to practice social distancing even after we are able to accept customers in our shops, cafes, restaurants and bars again. Some states are using square footage rules. You may need to plan that as well. Will the rules be different if you have outdoor seating?
Also, keep in mind that the local and state governments can and may reinstate restrictions if they see a significant uptick of cases again. Be prepared to have to restrict again. I would highly advise on monitoring your cash flow because of this. If you go hog wild in spending and then have to be shut down again, you may be caught short. Some are also predicting that this may come back again in the fall. So, again, be financially conservative.
